Gymnasts don’t have as a wide a choice of leotards as dancers do due to the risk involved in some routines. Frills, straps and anything that hangs loose from the leotard should be avoided by gymnasts.There are two types of leotards suitable to gymnastics. A traditional leotard or a singlet. A traditional leotard resembles a bikini on the bottom. A singlet is a viable alternative for gymnastics and can be worn in competitions because it still a leotard only the bottom half resembles shorts so there’s more coverage.
